Jana and Layton showed up on Monday and we enjoyed them each and every day!! We did Christmas and Thanksgiving on Thanksgiving day. The boys played football and we had excellent traditional food. Grandaddy's birthday was Friday. We also went to Amarillo and had a studio portrait made for the Christmas card and Grandaddy's birthday. We all dressed in black and white. We had a great weekend. We had a big party at the community center on Friday night. We have soooooooooooo many things to be thankful for. Jana and Layton will head back to Dallas tomorrow morning!!

Kansas City

Clint and I left Friday to head to Kansas City. Clint had the Western Seed Trade Meeting at the Westin Crown Center there in Kansas City. We had BBQ, dinner in a rotating restaurant, went through the Hallmark Museum and shopped at Crown Center. We also enjoyed the WWI Museum and Union Station. We even paid 5 bucks each for a ride on the Segway. We met Teresa on our flight from Dallas to KC. We went to pick up Bud and ate at a restaurant called Streetcar Named Desire. We had a great time. We had ice cream both afternoons. It was great to spend time with Clint, plus we watched the Texas Tech win over the number one team in the nation. It was great. I came home today and Clint will be with us tomorrow night.

Halloween activities

Last Sunday we popped fireworks that we hadn't done since July, we painted/carved our pumpkins and roasted the seeds. The Halloween Carnival was last Saturday right after the Super Bowl. The kids went trick or treating with friends and family while we were in Kansas City, MO.

Kyton helped Jody

Kyton helped Jody pull out names for the lunchroom prizes at the pep rally!!

The last 9 seconds...

Teagen got a flag...Teagen got a flag!! It was the last play of the first game of the day. Teagen was lined up on the east far side. I of course did not see the whole play because I didn't expect this whatsoever!! Jeana let me see the film. Teagen took off right in a beeline for the flag on the opposite side of the quarterback. HE PULLED A FLAG!! It was soooooooooooooooooooo exciting! Happy Black played Nazareth in the Super Bowl and lost in overtime. Teagen watched intently from the sideline. He got the flag at the very last second he played for the year.

They got a trophy. Chad and Mace had pizza, film and played football on Tuesday. He learned so much!!
