Christmas Day--Jesus's Birthday Celebration
The kids woke up at 7 oclock. They opened presents after looking at what Santa brought. We had breakfast sort of and then played computer games, Leapster, DS games, carpet skated, and then looked to see what Jerry Sims brought. They played and played with the truck and pickup and trailer all morning. Bailey worked on magic tricks--came up with about 12. Bailey did a magic show and the boys favorite was pulling Rambo (the rabbit) out of the hat. She had them going that he really disappeared. She prepared a show and did it for Mom, Dad, Grandaddy and Louese. We had traditional cinnamon rolls, sausage balls, egg casserole, etc. Clint didn't get to go with us. We missed him. Each person at Mom's opened one gift since we already did at Thanksgiving.
Christmas Eve
We had a great day of preparation and then went to the Christmas Eve service at church. At Jody and Lisa's we had great soup and the fixings. We had a mass opening of gifts and then the big boys played with my kids as much as they could stand. We tried to get home so Santa could come. Clint went right to bed not feeling well at all.
Church program
Kyton got to ring an orange bell--his favorite color. Teagen rang a bell and played Jesus in their part of the program. He read "J" and "K" for the alphabet of Christmas. Kyton could tell you the "K" part, "K is for kindness shown without reason." He even said it Christmas morning. Bailey was Mary in their part of the program. It was a sweet program for a packed church... and then Santa came.

Draw closer to God during this advent season
I have scripture to read each day of advent. I got it from my junior high Sunday school book!! If you would like one, just let me know.
Grandaddy turned 90!!
Grandaddy lives so wonderfully!! He lives life to the fullest I feel like each day. He got as good a report today as he could. He does seem to have some evidence of Cancer reoccurring in his prostate, but will do hormone therapy that should take care of it. He chose not to biopsy it. He cannot see or hear very well and still drives but only on his side of town. He had shrimp, steak and birthday cake--what more could he ask. His vest boasts original 1918 and the number of days on the back. I love him just the way that he is. He loves so many and accepts us all just the way we are. I would like to model my behavior after him!!

Kansas City
Clint and I left Friday to head to Kansas City. Clint had the Western Seed Trade Meeting at the Westin Crown Center there in Kansas City. We had BBQ, dinner in a rotating restaurant, went through the Hallmark Museum and shopped at Crown Center. We also enjoyed the WWI Museum and Union Station. We even paid 5 bucks each for a ride on the Segway. We met Teresa on our flight from Dallas to KC. We went to pick up Bud and ate at a restaurant called Streetcar Named Desire. We had a great time. We had ice cream both afternoons. It was great to spend time with Clint, plus we watched the Texas Tech win over the number one team in the nation. It was great. I came home today and Clint will be with us tomorrow night.
The last 9 seconds...
Teagen got a flag...Teagen got a flag!! It was the last play of the first game of the day. Teagen was lined up on the east far side. I of course did not see the whole play because I didn't expect this whatsoever!! Jeana let me see the film. Teagen took off right in a beeline for the flag on the opposite side of the quarterback. HE PULLED A FLAG!! It was soooooooooooooooooooo exciting! Happy Black played Nazareth in the Super Bowl and lost in overtime. Teagen watched intently from the sideline. He got the flag at the very last second he played for the year.
They got a trophy. Chad and Mace had pizza, film and played football on Tuesday. He learned so much!!

Jana and Layton back not only on American soil, but Happy soil too!
Jana and Layton flew in on Sunday. We had a great week going about our regular activities with great food from Mom. I took off Wednesday and Thursday. Kyton had a check up and shots, I did needed bloodwork and Bailey had a dentist appointment plus we walked with the kids during PE--all in a day!! Thursday, Mom, Jana and I ran errands and shopped. We laughed about what did we want for Thanksgiving. Jana and Layton will spend Thanksgiving with us again this year because we are also celebrating Grandaddy's 90th birthday on the 28th! We tye died t-shirts, cut hair, welcomed Journey the dragon to the Webkinz family and sat through the rain for a flag football game! We had an awesome time for sure.
